Marketing Coordinator

Marketing Coordinator | Columbia Hospitality

 

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Coordinator tasked with contributing to the team culture, brand DNA, and reputation of our properties. The Marketing Coordinator will bring enthusiasm to the team, flourish in a fast-paced environment, show curiosity and a willingness to gain experience in marketing and create an authentic and exceptional experience for guests, team members, and owners.

 

THE BRASS TACKS

The Marketing Coordinator will:

  • Serve as marketing support for assigned properties.
  • Support the development and execution of annual marketing plans, marketing budgets, reports, and presentations. 
  • Draft multi-channel marketing initiatives, including: 
    • Website content
    • Execute social media strategy
    • Write and build marketing emails
    • Design and print onsite collateral
    • Partner with internal and external teams on an ongoing basis
  • Attend regular marketing meetings, develop agendas, and take and distribute notes.
  • Review and proofread marketing content created by other team members.
  • Process marketing invoices for each property.
  • Manage and maintain marketing files.
  • Other duties and administrative work as assigned.
  • Property visits may be requested.  

THE NITTY GRITTY

The Marketing Coordinator will have the following qualifications:

  • A university degree in marketing or business-related discipline with at least one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • General knowledge of marketing tools and techniques, particularly digital marketing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including:
    1. The ability to write, proofread, and edit reports, business correspondence, and promotional content.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, managers, clients, guests, and the general public.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Solid personal management skills, including time management, planning and organizing, and delivery of results.
  • Ability to compute discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective problem solver, able to make decisions in routine situations.
  • Competency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop preferred.

 

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

  • DOE
  • This is a full-time, non-exempt position typically working Monday through Friday.
  • This is a hybrid position with an in-office requirement on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
