Production Accountability Technician
- The PAT performs a wide variety of functions for oil and gas program management to ensure compliance with laws, regulation and policy.
- Perform specialized auditing methods and procedures, audit production accountability reviews, and propose new processes and procedures and/or review the impact of new guidance.
- Select and audit oil and gas lease cases to ensure production meets requirements set forth in Federal law pertaining to the administration and protection of Federal oil and gas resources.
- Conduct Records Analysis (RA) reviews of Federal oil and gas leases, agreements, and units for high priority cases and conduct Records Verification (RV) on all other assigned cases.
- Interview and respond to inquiries from field inspectors, inter-agency staff, oil and gas operators, and purchases as needed to acquire information and clarify questions that cannot be ascertained through paper reviews alone.
