AThe Division of Drinking Water is recruiting for a Water Resource Control Engineer to work in the SAFER Section, Rural Solutions Unit. The position currently reports to 50 D St. Suite 200, Santa Rosa, CA 95404, however, it may be filled at any Division of Drinking Water Field Office location throughout California:

  • Bakersfield,
  • Richmond,
  • Glendale,
  • Santa Ana,
  • San Diego,
  • Carpinteria,
  • Redding,
  • Fresno,
  • Lodi,
  • Monterey,
  • Sacramento,
  • San Bernardino, or
  • Santa Rosa

Duties:

The Water Resource Control Engineer (WRCE) will primarily focus on efforts related to supporting rural public water systems that currently have violations or public water systems that are at-risk of violations, especially where consolidation is not a feasible solution. The WRCE will also support state small water systems and domestic wells that are impacted by water quality or quantity issues.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
