Following HPS Tech’s expansion into the U.S. with an office opening in California, we current seek full time graduate engineers in multiple engineering disciplines to join our diverse team working on exciting projects in the Dairy, Food & Beverage and Biotech sectors. 

Location: Mixture of Office and Site-based (Key project in 2024 being based in Turlock, CA) opportunities for travel as required. Plans to open an office in Dallas, Texas in 2025.

You will be pivotal to the delivery of projects for some of United States leading dairy, food and beverage manufacturers. With the engineering tools provided, you will be a key part of the project delivery team assisting lead project engineers and project managers in procurement, installation, commissioning, and completion phases of our projects.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Work in the spirit of partnership to both our customers and our team to deliver engineering studies, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning support services across a range of projects and clients.
  • Pass the knowledge you’ve learnt to other engineers both senior and junior based on your knowledge and experiences.
  • Apply technical, problem solving, and project skills to assist with the development, planning and execution of engineering projects.
  • Ensure successful delivery of all engineering tasks/projects through the use of HPS’ engineering tools and team to guide your development.
  • Be a safe pair of hand for our customers and team in the way you approach engineering problems and tasks.

 

What you will bring

Successful applicants will have a strong work ethic, a drive for learning and the desire to accelerate their career as well as the following experience and knowledge: 

  • Work well in teams or autonomously and show strong communication skills
  • Have basic process knowledge
  • Be comfortable in customer facing interactions
  • Complete a combination of both office and site-based duties
  • Be available to travel to customer sites and work away from home on an as-required basis
  • Experience in relevant industries (Dairy, Food or Beverage) and/or experience in customer facing roles will be highly regarded.

 

Eligibility:

To apply for this position, you are required to:

  • Be completing or have completed your degree by June 2024
  • Have a degree in a relevant field of engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, etc.)
  • Have a personal car for travel purposes
  • Have a valid Driver’s License
  • Have working rights within United States

You will work closely with project engineers and project managers in the following areas:

  • Engineering and Process Design
  • Process Modelling, Design & Calculations
  • Assisting with Equipment Quoting and Procurement
  • Onsite Installation & Commissioning
  • WHS & Safety
  • Engineering Studies / Support

The position of project engineer changes with the demands of HPS Tech’s customers. Project Engineers will have the unique opportunity to see projects through from conception and sales to completion and be personally responsible for both the success of HPS and our customers.
