Project Coordinator Intern

SUMMARY:

The Project Coordinator Intern assists the project management and estimating departments with assigned projects.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Job Specific Duties:

  • Assist with creation, review, and transmittal of project submittals and RFI’s. 
  • Maintain daily communication with project management team.
  • Assist with coordinating the detailing efforts of various subcontractors.
  • Assist with monitoring project progress and mitigating issues that arise. 
  • Assist with project documentation, plans, reports, etc. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • General construction, structural steel preferred, but not required
  • Bluebeam
  • AutoCAD
  • Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Company policies and procedures

Ability to:

  • Read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
  • Complete tasks without supervision.
  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Work independently and in a team.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of construction management at an accredited college or university. Applicable construction experience may be substituted for education.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful completion of physical, substance abuse screening, and background check.
