Storyline Writer Intern

Are you a creative storyteller with a keen eye for detail and a passion for world-building? Castix LLC is seeking a Storyline Writer Intern to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing the narrative elements of our medieval fantasy game. As an intern, you will focus on auditing, editing, and creating NPC (Non-Player Character) scripts for in-game maps, as well as contributing to the game's lore and stories.

Responsibilities:

• Audit, edit, and create engaging scripts for NPCs in various in-game maps
• Develop micro-stories for NPCs that can be conveyed in just a few lines
• Help expand the game's lore and narratives from both a local map perspective and a full world-building perspective
• Collaborate with the game development team to ensure consistency and depth in the game's storytelling
• Weave and interconnect NPCs across a diverse and interesting game world

Qualifications:

• Native or fluent proficiency in English
• Strong creative writing skills and a passion for storytelling
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to create engaging and concise micro-stories
• Ability to develop interconnected narratives and complex characters
• Familiarity with fantasy genres and world-building concepts
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Basic understanding of game development and narrative design is a plus

Additional Information:

This is an unpaid internship, but it may be eligible for course credit. The internship is fully remote, and interns will need to use their own equipment. The duration of the internship is negotiable. Interns will be provided a manager/mentor from a senior staff member. The intern will have flexible hours and may need to communicate with staff members across various time zones.
