The Center for Preparedness and Response (CPR) is recruiting one Associate Governmental Program Analyst to join the Emergency Funding Coordination Branch. The CPR coordinates Statewide public health emergency preparedness and response planning for the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) with a primary focus on preparing Californians for public health emergencies. If you are interested in a challenging and exciting work environment, this is the opportunity for you.The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) works under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) II, in the State Coordination Section (SCS) in the Emergency Funding Coordination Branch (EFCB) of the Division of Operations, Center for Preparedness and Response. The AGPA performs the most complex technical analysis of emergency funds expenditures and is responsible for providing data and analytical support to the SCS for various drills and reports on emergency funding grants that have been awarded to CDPH in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and other emergencies. The AGPA ensures all related invoices and payments align with budgets, contracts, purchase orders, and service orders. The AGPA processes personnel overtime (OT) and claim (Travel or Workers Compensation) expenses, and coordinates with the Human Resources Division (HRD) and Accounting offices to process OT and claim expenses.

Up to 5% travel is required. In order to address urgent operational needs or conduct emergency-related response activities, incumbent may, on occasion, be required to work outside core business hours, travel, and transport up to 25 lbs.
