Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst IV (JC-433871)

Under the general direction of a Program and Project Supervisor of the Communications Division in the Broadband, Video, and Market Branch, the position will lead efforts to understand the extent to which certain portions of California's residents do not have access to broadband service. The position will work with a team to conduct the CPUC's annual broadband data collection by issuing data requests to Internet service providers in the state. The PURA IV will ensure the data collection is complete and work with a contractor to review, analyze, and visualize the data on the California Interactive Broadband Map. The PURA IV will also manage the contract and lead meetings and work related to broadband mapping and data collection. The PURA IV will assist in responding to public inquiries on the Map, mapping work, and our data collection process. The PURA IV will also assist in analyzing proposed legislation and responding to any legislative inquiries.
