Junior Sprinkler Designer
Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is looking for a motivated, self-starter Junior Sprinkler Designer for one of our premier clients in the San Leandro, CA area. This position will be full-time onsite with lots of opportunity for growth. As their employee, you qualify for their full benefit package.
Job Responsibilities:
- 70% of this job will be onsite assisting with the design and 30% will be be in the field running parts, tools, etc.
- Runner – Helping where needed, including delivering or picking up plans to/from job sites, etc.
- Permit processor – would be responsible for submitting and tracking permit applications to various jurisdictions, including over the counter applications once they are knowledgeable enough to handle them
- Assist PM with assembling job information, tracking field notes and preparing documentation for as-built drawings and change orders.
- Helping wherever else needed.
Job Requirements:
- AS/BS in Fire Safety or similar fields
- Previous experience with fire sprinkler system design (mostly tenant improvements and small projects)
- Ability to prepare background drawings from CAD files and PDFs
- Prior experience with site surveys of existing fire sprinkler systems
- Self-starting, motivated individual who wants to learn
