Title II ADA Compliance Program Manager

The purpose of this position is to develop, implement, evaluate, and manage a Title II Compliance Program for the MinnesotaDepartment of Corrections to ensure it meets its obligations under Title ll of the ADA and Regulations. This position will ensure that statecorrectional facilities do not exclude qualified incarcerated individuals with disabilities from or deny them benefits or access to programs,services, and activities, with or without accommodations or modifications. This position will also provide expert consultation to DOCsenior leaders and mitigate legal risk by conducting regular audits with each facility in the state and mandating/directing correctiveactions based on the results.
Programs, services and activities will include but are not limited to: treatment programs and opportunities; education programming;vocational training; library access; visiting opportunities; early release programs; religious, spiritual, and cultural opportunities; integratedhousing setting; appropriate security classification; dining; recreation; release planning; work assignments; medical care; and physicalaccess to spaces where programs are delivered, with reasonable accommodations or modifications as necessary.
To promote a culture of flexibility, we offer staff a hybrid work environment that varies by team, position, and business needs. Thisposition is primarily telework, but will require on-site work at facilities during audits and some in-person meetings. Completion of atelework agreement will be required. Teleworking employees are required to live in Minnesota or a bordering state in a county along theMinnesota state line.
