The position will be evaluating potential impacts of proposed projects and activities on marine resources along California’s north coast. Proposed projects include activities such as dredging, aquaculture, discharges, energy project, desalination plants, and port infrastructure. Your knowledge of marine resources will help determine impacts to fish, invertebrates, plants, wildlife and habitats in ocean, bay, estuarine, and shoreline areas. You will have the opportunity to represent the California Department of Fish and Wildlife on large-scale, long-range habitat planning activities and collaborate with state and federal agency partners, researchers, and other stakeholders.
