Freshman Connection Instructional Leader - 6 positions (pending enrollment)

Schenectady High School;

This position reports to NY GEAR UP Team Coordinators and Office of Innovation, Equity, and Engagement. This position supports the NY GEAR UP Grant initiatives that are aimed to support the 9th grade cohort entering Schenectady High School in September.

Program goals: Self reflection for successful high school engagement, literacy prep, mathematics prep and community building and leadership.

GEAR UP Instructional Leader Expectations

? Committed to 5 hours for 5 days from August 12-22, 7:45-12:30

? Attend/chaperone college campus visit to SUNY Oneonta on Aug 13, 2024

? Keep a legible attendance for participating 9th graders

? Implement, instruct and supervise classroom activities

? Accompany students to scheduled activities where applicable

Salary ? $35.00 per hour ? $30.00 prep/training

 

Job Qualifications
 

must hold NYS teacher certification
