Position: Junior Research Assistant  (Remote) – Summer 2024

Location: AIRE Lab, College of Education, Health and Human Sciences  

University of Tennessee at Knoxville

 

Job Summary:

Join our growing team as a Junior Research Assistant and contribute to our "Future of Learning and Work" projects. This role offers a blend of research and project management tasks, ideal for those keen to enhance their experience in an applied research environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of research projects.

- Analyze research data and prepare evaluation reports.

- Support data collection, including survey design and implementing interview and observation protocols.

- Manage and analyze publicly available data, ensuring data integrity with the PI’s guidance.

- Maintain detailed documentation for all projects.

- Prepare and distribute reports to stakeholders.

- Facilitate communication with project stakeholders and coordinate research-related events.

- Work collaboratively with international teams.

- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Business, or a related field in Social or Applied Sciences at UTK.
  • Demonstrated research, interpersonal, and organizational/ project management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a conscientious approach to tasks.
  • Excellent abilities in multitasking, communication, and interpersonal relations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as R, Stata, or Python is preferred.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and face new challenges.
