Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II, you will be responsible for overseeing Classification and Recruitment Analysts who assist supervisors and managers on recruitment and hiring processes. You will also have the opportunity to leave your mark on the department by refining and developing effective internal and departmental policies and procedures. Additionally, you will collaborate with a variety of units such as the Exam, Talent Acquisition, and Budget Units to serve as a subject matter expert on personnel related items.


We’re located in the new state-of-the-art Natural Resources Building in downtown Sacramento, right next to Light Rail for an easy commute. Our building features ergonomic furniture, panoramic downtown views, a free employee gym, a cafeteria and bodega, call and conference rooms, adjacent childcare, and much more.


This position is designated as Remote-Centric and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for eligible applicants residing in California. The hybrid telework schedule includes working two days in office and working three days remotely.

Working Conditions

This position primarily works from an office or home office and involves sitting at a computer. However, opportunities to visit Wildlife Lands and personally observe the work done by CDFW is available!
