Assistant Deputy Director Representative

The Human Resources Division (HRD) partners with CDPH’s programs and management to provide guidance and consultative services on Human Resource matters that are necessary for the Department to carry out its mission to deliver quality public health services.

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs the more responsible, varied, complex, and/or sensitive support, technical, and analytical work activities for the Department and the Human Resources Division (HRD). The AGPA performs project management for the HRD Deputy and Assistant Deputy Directors (DD/ADD) and manages calendars, tasks, and projects of the Division and on behalf of the ADD.  

Desirable Qualifications

  • A team-oriented incumbent who has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with excellent customer service skills
  • Willingness to adhere to the Department's Core Values (Collaboration, Competence, Equity, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Trust, and Vision)
  • Experience with Human Resources practices, civil service laws and rules, and working with confidential materials, heavy workloads, and/or competing priorities
  • Experience supporting and assisting Executive level staff
