Student Assistant (Communications)

Under close supervision by the Deputy Director of Communications, in a learning capacity, the Student Assistant (SA) will assist with the High-Speed Rail Authority’s (Authority) comprehensive media, social media, and communications programs. The SA will assist the Authority’s Social Media Manager with the development of materials for promotion on the Authority’s official social media accounts. This position will also assist with the development of materials for the Authority’s website, external and internal newsletters, stakeholders, the media, and the public regarding the activities and objectives of the California high-speed rail program. While the SA will report directly to the Deputy Director of Communications, assignments will also be given and tracked by the Information Officer II and Communications Manager. The SA will help with other related duties as assigned and may receive direction and assignments from the Chief of Strategic Communications. This position will be available from August to December 2024.
