Engineering Assistant II and III

Do you have your Texas Engineer in Training Certificate (EIT)?  TxDOT's Fort Worth District is looking for an Engineering Assistant in our Engineering Assistant Program.  This program will provide you with the experience for your PE License.  You will perform engineering work, including our job rotation, training, and continuing education in design, construction, inspection, maintenance, surveying, and environmental and transportation operations.    Design activity is supervised by a licensed professional engineer with the authority to approve all projects. Work requires contact with local governmental representatives, engineering contractors, and private entities. Employees at this level work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
