
Outreach Coordinator
- Preparation and maintenance of routine administrative correspondence; and assists with assembling talking points and presentations as needed.
- Helps communicate changes to workflow efficiencies for internal operations and processes. Contributes ideas for basic improvements to work tasks.
- Prepares reports, notes, and surveys as appropriate.
- Performs basic data analysis from spreadsheets and able to maintain consistent data entry across spreadsheets.
- Reviews and edits forms and documents on an as needed basis. Outreach Coordination
- Tracks outreach activities across team, which are used by leadership to guide and inform entity relationship building efforts.
- Tracks activities and flags for follow-up. Drafts for review, updates, and maintains outreach database, including adding new entities, tracking contacts, and monitoring follow up actions.
- Makes arrangements for and attends outreach events and external meetings with 9/11 groups and stakeholders to provide on-site administrative support.
- Updates and maintains presentations with materials provided by leadership for use with various outside partners/stakeholders tailored to their constituents to educate them about the VCF.
- Under guidance of supervisor, drafts and provides edits to written copy for internal and external communications.
- Assists in identifying 9/11 community trends/concerns to inform outreach strategies and efforts on an as needed basis.
- With guidance from leadership, creates social media messaging from existing materials, themes and previous messages for review and approval prior to posting.
- Monitors and manages VCF Twitter account and develops social media (Twitter) content calendar and facilitates posts. Refers questions to supervisor.
- Ensures compliance with DOJ social media administrative records retention and report archiving requirements.
- VCF.gov External Website and Internal SharePoint support Serves as one of several team members who work together to support the VCF.gov website.
- Activities may include the following:
- Submits IT work tickets to DOJ Civil Division Office of Information Technology (OIT) and/or Justice Management Division (JMD) web services team for VCF.gov website updates, and confirms updates match the request once they are completed in production/staging.
- Works with other Website POCs to maintain all website files.
- Maintains internal communications information, such as VCF SharePoint site and internal cross-team updates.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain an maintain US Government Security Clearance
- Undergraduate degree with 2-3 years of work experience. Communications, Marketing, English, Public Relations, or Journalism degree preferred.
- Experience with Federal government programs and large project coordination preferred.
- Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office, specifically MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Skills in time management, organization, communication, and problem solving.
- Comfortable analyzing and interpreting basic data tables and compiling and summarizing statistics.
