Position Overview
The Office of Student Life is seeking a motivated and dedicated Junior or Senior CUNY Student to serve as the Lead Peer Leader. In this role, you will oversee a team of 7-9 Peer Leaders, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and support for various activities and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision and guidance of the Associate Director of Student Life, the Lead Peer Leader’s key responsibilities will include:
- Create agendas and run weekly team meetings with the Peer Leader staff
- Serve as the point of contact between Peer Leaders and the Associate Director of Student Life
- Manage and coordinate scheduling for all Peer Leaders, ensuring coverage for events and activities
- Event Planning: Plan, organize and lead event efforts, working closely with the Office of Student Life to promote student engagement
- Assist with various administrative tasks related to student life programming.
- Connect students to existing collegeresources.
Qualifications
Must be a Junior or Senior enrolled in a CUNY College. Applicant should be professional and personable, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to present information effectively. Applicants must be able to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students and staff and work as part of a team.
Compensation
The rate is $18 per hour.Offered hours will be 18-20 hours per week.
