Athletic Trainer

Summary 

Riverside Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Athletic Trainer to join our Rehabilitation Services team in Kankakee, Illinois. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare to athletes and active individuals, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related injuries. The successful candidate will collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and rehabilitation services, ensuring the optimal health and performance of our patients. Must have the ability to travel between school affiliates and clinics. Additionally, this position requires flexibility with assignments within professional scope/duties/licensure.

 

Required Experience: Preferred Experience: Experience working with a diverse range of athletes in various sports is preferred. 

Skills &Abilities: Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, along with appropriate treatment methods. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism. Proficiency in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) and related software 

 

Required Licensure/Education: •    Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. •    Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers certification is required. •    Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of Illinois is required within 3 months of hire. •    Current CPR/AED certification for healthcare providers is required. 

 

Preferred Licensure/Education: Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field is preferred.
