The Student Trainee (Biological Sciences & Natural Resources) position is part of the Army Student Internship Program which offers college students 12 weeks of paid full-time employment, up to 480 hours, during the summer months. Approximate employment dates are end of May through mid-August. Employment is intended to continue each subsequent year during the summer months while the student is enrolled in a degree program.

In this role you will, perform a variety of standardized and non-standardized engineering tasks to accomplish or provide technical support on assigned projects.

As a Student Trainee (Biological Sciences and Natural Resources), the incumbent will work under closer supervision performing assignments and completing training. At the full-performance level, you will be expected to:

                   *Assist project managers with providing permit applications and jurisdictional                                 determinations for work in waters.

                   *Provide assistance to applicants, prepare correspondence and public notices,                              and assist in the preparing preliminary environmental assessments and decision                        documents.

                   *Assist with compliance inspections of permitted activities and the investigation                           of violations.

                   *Input data, maintain files, search for missing files, and search for specific data                            and prepare special and recurring reports.

2nd Year Salary $36,209-$51,122
