Tuff City Records is an independent record label in midtown Manhattan. Tuff City Records is a 40-year veteran company that releases a broad range of music from rock ’n roll to soul to funk to Old School Hip Hop.

Tuff City is seeking a social media intern who will assist with curating lists to be used for marketing campaigns and to distribute press releases.  This role involves searching across social media platforms and other online sites to update our databases and it provides an opportunity for the intern to suggest ideas for engagement with a younger audience.

Position Title
Social Media Intern (2 part-time positions are available)

Schedule
10-20 hours during academic term; flexible up to 30 hours during summer term

Position Requirements
Interest in the music business
Familiarity with functionalities of social media platforms and apps
Quick learner who is mature, adaptable, punctual, and respectful
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Self-awareness, emotional regulation and ability to work well with others

Interest in the history of hip hop is a plus
Bring your own laptop is a plus
