Residential Unit Director - Continuous Residential Support Program (CRS) - $27.30/Hr

FT 40 Hr/wk Assists adults with intellectual disabilities in a 24/7 residential setting in achieving maximum levels of autonomy and a high quality of life. Supports and collaborates with program participants to establish goals within the Individual Plan related to residential and community settings. Responsibilities include: ensuring program staff are properly trained within CRS and DDS Staff Orientation requirements, as well as Agency standards, facilitating meetings, managing budgets, providing program scheduling and coverage as necessary, ensuring each program participant receives timely and effective support, monitoring quality assurance, and implementing quality improvement. This position also requires compliance with forensic program procedures including maintaining line of sight with program participants.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all staff are effectively orientated and trained to the scope of CRS requirements, including line of sight forensic requirements, in a manner consistent with DDS Staff Orientation Requirements and Agency standards
- Ensures staff are aware of each program participant’s level of need and Individual Plan goals. Implements and documents support services accordingly
- Facilitates clear communication among all team members in the form of an in-person and/or virtual team meetings and participates, when possible, in Agency leader Meetings. Maintains minutes of SLP team meetings
- Manages FTE’s, PTE’s and per diems within the limits set by program budgets
- Ensures all staff are effectively trained in the use of Therap to provide accurate reporting in compliance with DDS and Agency standards
- Conducts regular ISP data, T-LOG, and Health Tracking reviews in Therap to provide statistical data to the Service Director, and ongoing training to staff to ensure information is presented in a manner consistent with DDS and Agency standards
- Facilitates program participants portability related transitions in conjunction with the Service Director and Program Coordinator
- Manages budgets effectively
- Provides scheduling for adequate coverage of the residential program. Provides coverage as necessary
- Ensures that each program participant receives timely and effective support regarding their medical and/or psychiatric needs and entitlements
- Performs regular assessments of the residential home with the Program Coordinator to ensure that the living environment is maintained in a manner consistent with Agency Property Management and DDS Quality Service standards. Ensures timely and accurate completion of all items on Agency Safety Calendar
- Monitors quality assurance and implements quality improvement for the service area(s) in collaboration with the Service Director, DDS Case Mangers, and DDS Quality Monitors
- Engages in continuous concerted efforts to access, obtain, respond to pertinent Agency information/communications, and disseminate as appropriate
- Provides working conditions and education that maximizes safety for direct care staff and program participants
- Other responsibilities of Reliance Health staff, such as participation in Agency events, adhering to Agency policies and procedures, training requirements etc.
- Provides regular supervisions that are documented and acknowledged by the employee that includes providing honest and fair feedback about performance, discussing employee goals and growth, appreciation, and program communication.
- Ensures program safety measures are mentioned on a regular basis
- Accurately approves and faxes employee timesheets prior to 9:00 am on Monday of payroll weeks including Per Diem timesheets when appropriate.
- Performs duties while demonstrating Agency Core Competencies and Values
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or equivalent work experience in the provision of mental health/disabilities preferred
- Work experience in the provision of mental health services preferred
- Supervision experience preferred
- Eligible for DDS medication certification
- Valid CT Driver’s License, vehicle registration and insurance
- Good driving record
