Summer 2025 Internship - Occupational Health and Safety

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Create a heat map. Then highlight the areas with the highest propensity for injury or accidents.
  • Complete two Job Safety Analyses (JSA) at two Heavy Lift Maintenance Shops. 
  • Conduct documented safety walk-thru of all Breakrooms. 
  • Create a 3-slide PowerPoint Presentation on PPE, then host a Safety Meeting with 10+ employees.
  • Keep daily and/or weekly journals to prepare for the project.
  • Project: PowerPoint Presentation last week of internship late July.

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Site visits to assist in gathering information
  • Assist the Manager in routine tasks (document scanning, data update, map creation) as needed.
  • Special tasks as assigned.
