Behavioral Therapist

Salary: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Bilingual Needed

 

Responsibilities: 

- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients - Implement behavior management techniques and interventions based on applied behavior analysis principles

- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to patients, focusing on skill development and behavior modification 

- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care 

- Monitor and track patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed - Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner 

- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of behavioral therapy 

Skills: 

- Strong research skills to stay informed about the latest evidence-based practices in behavioral therapy 

- Excellent patient care skills, including empathy, active listening, and effective communication 

- Knowledge of coding and billing practices related to behavioral therapy services 

- Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify specific needs and develop appropriate treatment plans 

- Proficiency in behavior management techniques and applied behavior analysis principles - Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable 

- Crisis management skills to effectively handle challenging behaviors or situations 

- Familiarity with cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches is a plus 

- Understanding of special education principles and practices
