Associate Accountant

Job Description

SUMMARY:

This position will train under various Operational accounting positions in the Poultry segment to gain experience in Poultry Live Production Accounting and Poultry Plant Accounting.

The training includes nine months experience in Complex and/or Plant Accounting operations in one of our field locations (outside of Corporate) and will prepare the team member for an Accounting position within our Operations Accounting area, with financial closing and reporting responsibilities, supervisory responsibilities and an opportunity to learn the business from all aspects of operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required.

Experience: 6+ month’s work experience preferred, but not required.

Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office applications. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  SAP experience will be a plus.

Communication Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal skills.

Special Skills: Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment; using good judgement to complete tasks; ability to set priorities and coordinate with others.

Supervisory: None

Travel: 1 plus trips per year.
