Licensed Therapist

Position Summary:
The Licensed Therapist is responsible for providing direct mental health services in both school-based and outpatient mental health clinic (OMHC) settings. This role includes conducting assessments, therapy, care coordination, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The clinician will support individuals and families in accessing services and resources necessary for their well-being.

Licensure:
Candidates must hold one of the following licenses: LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LGMFT, LCMFT, Psychology Associate, LCADC, CSCAD, CACAD, or proof of working towards licensure within two years.

Location:
OMHC (In-Person) and/or School-Based Settings

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another mental health discipline.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in the mental health field providing individual, group, or family therapy.
  • Certifications: Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Background Check: Must pass a full state and federal criminal background check.
  • Transportation: If providing care coordination, must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and access to a personal vehicle for travel.

Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical Services:

  • Provide mental health evaluations, assessments, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services (individual, group, and family therapy).
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and update as needed.
  • Complete diagnosis evaluations and conduct biopsychosocial intake assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with COMAR regulations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration, including psychiatry, PRP, and care coordination services.
  • Attend scheduled meetings, trainings, and chart audits with Hope Health Systems, Inc.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality according to state and federal guidelines.

School-Based Therapy (if applicable):

  • Identify students in need of behavioral health services and provide direct therapeutic interventions within the school environment.
  • Provide prevention services such as classroom lessons, staff training, and teacher consultations.
  • Support school staff in addressing students' behavioral health needs.
  • Attend school meetings, including IEP/504 plan discussions.
  • Collaborate with school personnel to create a trauma-informed and culturally aware school environment.

Care Coordination:

  • Advocate for clients and connect them to appropriate community resources.
  • Assist clients with applications for housing, employment, benefits, and other social services.
  • Conduct home visits and provide case management services.
  • Track and report client progress, including documentation of all interactions and referrals.
  • Provide crisis intervention and coordinate emergency resources as needed.
  • Maintain a caseload of at least eight PRP clients (if applicable).
  • Facilitate rehabilitation activities, including independent living skills, social skills, conflict resolution, and anger management.
  • Educate the clinical team about available resources and support linkage efforts.
  • Assist with transportation to medical and social service appointments when needed.

  • Requires sitting, standing, bending, and an average range of hearing and vision.
  • Ability to analyze information, create treatment plans, and articulate therapeutic goals.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Clinical Supervisor, Administration, Outpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $75,479.00 per year
