Position: Nurse Anesthetist/Anesthesiology

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients, from neonates to young adults, within a care team model.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists to develop and implement anesthetic plans, covering preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative care.
• Perform pre-anesthetic and post-anesthetic assessments, obtaining informed consent and ordering necessary pre-anesthetic medications.
• Select and apply appropriate monitoring modalities for continuous patient evaluation.
• Provide airway management and intubation for emergent and non-emergent situations throughout the hospital.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs and mentor student nurse anesthetists (SRNAs).

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in pediatric intensive/acute care nursing preferred; 2 years as a CRNA with pediatric experience preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN and CRNA licensure in Nebraska; current Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 180 days of hire.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Experience with congenital heart disease and neonatal patient management.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
