The intern will receive a total stipend of $5,000 for the role.

Position Description
This position will primarily support the SECU Public Fellows Internship Program (go.uncg.edu/SECU). In the 5th year of this internship, UNCG aims to expand the program to better support students by offering more intentional workshops, and additional opportunities for coaching and one-on-one conversations. This summer graduate intern will support the program in the following ways:
Advising/Coaching- 50%
- Conduct one-on-one meetings/coaching sessions with all 20 interns
- Provide advice and tips for interns to succeed through their role and support through managing working in a professional setting
- Schedule and conduct site visits in conjunction with OLCE and CPD representatives to some organizations where interns are working
- Partner with Career and Professional Development to gather resources and tools for interns and manage the program
Facilitation- 20%
- Assist in the planning and facilitation of professional development sessions with SECU Interns, to include but not limited to ethical community engagement, storytelling, difficult conversations, resume tips, and other relevant topics
- Compile resources and lead sessions on creating a digital story video as the interns’ final project
- Gather feedback on the types of sessions and learning interns want to gain from the experience
Administrative/Marketing- 30%
- Conduct assessment throughout the program to measure student learning and satisfaction of the program
- Develop a system for weekly communication with interns (email, meetings, etc)
- Design marketing in order to tell the story of SECU Public Fellows
- Post on Social media accounts and communicate with UNCG communications
- Assist with managing spreadsheets and data to track interns and the internship program
Requirements
- Must be a graduate student at time of application.
- Attend student training sessions.
