YOUTH BASKETBALL COACHES (Part-Time, Seasonal)
Higher Level Basketball (HLB) seeks basketball coaches (and aspiring coaches) for coaching positions with our High School AAU teams (both travel & local) and for our Middle/Grade School teams. Candidates with experience in coaching and/or playing at the high school level or above are given top preference, but ALL aspiring coaches are welcomed to apply

Middle/Grade School: Assistant Coaches; Boys 7th; Boys 5th
3rd/4th Grade “Academy”: 2 Associate Head Coaches
Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic and Assertive
- Self-Motivated
- Organized and Manage time well. MUST be dependable.
- Good Communication Skills, particularly oral skills
- Former college or high school coaches, former college or high school players are most preferred, but all backgrounds encouraged to apply if you have a passion for the game and for helping young people.
DUTIES:
- On-floor coaching, including teaching and supervision of drill work
- Regular attendance at practices and games
- Development of, or assistance with, preparation plans for practices and games
- Attendance at occasional coaching meetings and training sessions
- Communication with players, parents and the general public in a positive, constructive manner
Related position information
Spring period: March through May. NOTE: Coaches may renew for summer positions + have the opportunity to work in our Skill Training program
Time Commitment: Approximately 4-6 hours per week on average for middle school
Practices: 2 per week - weeknights
Games: Middle School: Fri or Sat league games + 2-3 weekend tourneys (local) in May.

Compensation: All head coaches and assistants are paid stipends. Stipends range from $500-$600 for Middle/Grade School Head coaches and $450-$500 for assistants (depending on grade level and how much coach can attend)
