Clinician/Social Worker

Mindful Body Therapy & Wellness in Andover, MA, focuses on creating a safe and understanding environment for individuals seeking mental health support. Our clinicians tailor treatments to individual strengths using a variety of therapeutic approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness. We address diverse mental health concerns such as eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions to help individuals achieve their recovery goals. We are hiring for a full-time and part-time role primarily based in Andover, MA, with the flexibility for some remote work.

Responsibilities

The primary goal of a clinician is to provide therapy to clients while operating in a team environment. Therefore, a Clinician is responsible for:

  • Conducting a minimum of 25 (full-time) or 15 (part-time) therapy sessions per week
  • Completing thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Collaborating with clients to establish goals and monitor progress throughout therapy
  • Employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a range of mental health concerns
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients
  • Offering crisis intervention and support to clients in urgent situations
  • Participating in regular supervision, training, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills
  • Upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in all aspects of therapy practice
  • Attending and engaging in staff meetings, collaboration meetings, and group supervision
  • Taking on existing clients of the practice as needed due to extended leave of other clinicians

Additional related tasks may be added to this description based on the needs of the practice. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

A Clinician must be working toward or hold licensure in a Social Work, Counseling, or a related field in addition to:

  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities and interventions
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages
  • Skills in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • A welcoming personality
  • Empathetic, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive approach to therapy
  • Commitment to continuous learning
  • Experience working with eating disorders preferred
