Accounting Intern

May - August 2019 • Strongsville, OH

What I liked

I was exposed to a variety of different industry accounting techniques. I also got to experience their fiscal year end in August, which was fantastic experience!

What I wish was different

I wish I would have had more knowledge of Accounting before going into this internship. I took only the Intro courses, and I think I could have been more successful if I knew more about Financial Accounting going into this internship.

Advice

Be open minded and ready to learn!

Management Trainee Intern

June - August 2019 • San Bruno, CA

What I liked

I enjoyed a business model that encouraged employees to handle situations independently and take on responsibilities normally expected of a manager.

What I wish was different

The one thing I wish had been different was the actual location of my internship. The venue was not the most beneficial for the business model.

Advice

I would seriously take advantage of the opportunity because it makes you think differently and feel more influential with your decision making.

Managment Trainee Intern

May - August 2019 • Corpus Christi, TX

What I liked

I was one of two interns out of 35 in the south Texas region to be located at the Corpus Christi International Airport. I really enjoyed the resources and skills I built during my time working with Enterprise. Unlike the other interns I was working at a much faster pace and was able to adapt quickly to the business lifestyle at the airport. I was able to be apart of the growth of Corpus Christi as I was putting CEO's and Tope level management into vehicles and on the road. I was taught how to run an entire branch and learned every aspect of a successful privately owned company.

What I wish was different

I personally felt over qualified for the posititon because I study Industrial Managment and Applied Engineering with a minor in Buisness Admn and Construction Managment while the internship was for business majors. I study Human Resource Management and many other courses that helped me understand the buisness from the corprate level. I just wished I had more authority than the intern because I was truley smarted than the branch managers and assistant managers that were making the decisions.

Advice

Being located at the Corpus Christi International Airport I met a lot of very important and successful people flying in from all over the country. I was able to find out about the deals and mergers that were occuring in Crpus Christi through conversations with these buisnessman I was able to be apart of the process. I took every opprotunity I had to build and establish my skills and If I had anything to share about the internship is that it was the best job I could have asked for to start my career off by understanding how to operate and manage a successful buisness like the Enterprise at the Corpus Christi Airport.

Management trainee intern

May - August 2019 • St. Louis, MO

What I liked

I loved the people. I was offered so many opportunities and was treated like a regular full time employee, not just an intern. I met a lot of people and the internship opened up other doors for me for after graduation as well.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to continue my internship while I was in school, but the Warrensburg location didn’t have openings.

Advice

Always take the opportunity even if it’s outside of your comfort zone. Go the extra mile and do the things people usually don’t want to do so you stand out.

Management Trainee Intern

May - August 2019 • Wayne, NJ

What I liked

I liked the quick pace and fast work days despite long hours. I learned a lot about business operations and new car models. I liked the fact that a career path was available to me at Enterprise. I liked the fact that I can put on my resume that I worked for a multi-billion dollar company before I graduated college.

What I wish was different

I wish that I did not have to deal with the general public so much, but I understand that it is pretty unavoidable. I wish I made commission on my insurance sales as an intern. I wish there was more flexibility with the hours. I wish the dynamic among my coworkers was more welcoming.

Advice

If you can handle the high stress level that is seemingly unending during the work day, as well as long work weeks, then go for it. If you do not handle stress well, you will burn out immediately.

Management Intern

May - August 2019 • Kailua, HI

What I liked

It involved all aspects of business. From management, to customer service, to sales penetration( insurance )and relational marketing. I gained a greater prospective on what it means to run a small business while being exposed to the corporate world.

What I wish was different

I honestly wouldn't change anything about the internship program- the only thing I would change is that I wish it would have been longer.

Advice

The experience was once in a life-time. I was pushed outside my comfort zone and was able to experience a whole new culture entirely different of my own while also developing myself professionally. My advice would be to go for things in life, expand your horizons, be open-minded and most importantly always remember who you are.

Customer Service Representative

September 2018 • New Lenox, IL

What I liked

Working at Enterprise is the essence of a professional business atmosphere. They give you the tools to be your own manager and provide you with an excellent structure as well to follow by as one of the largest car rental corporations in the world. In the customer service universe it was excellent in learning the professional relationships between me and the customer. Sales experience went hand in hand with the service we provide and countless important lessons were learned in my experience in rental.

What I wish was different

The hours are quite long starting at 50 hour a week minimum for full time employees.

Advice

Go ahead and go apply to Enterprise If you want a customer service experience like no other. There are a ton of sales knowledge and experiences gained from a customer service representative position. If you enjoy talking to people and driving nice cars, it’s for you! Did I mention the dress is business professional? It helps in terms of maintaining a specific image.
